How We Work

Hello Cool World performs the same services as an ad agency but in a more collaborative way with a commitment to working with real people to get their stories out. We take a grassroots approach to social marketing that reflects our belief that clients should be partners and "target audiences" are people first.

For this reason, we are seeking clients who share our vision and dedication to long-term outcome. Delivering exceptional service is not enough: we want to make a difference.

Generally, we don’t take on a project for under $5,000 as it’s just impossible to achieve results for less than that, but we do offer discounts and find ways to co-promote and partner with other stakeholders to add value. We’ve also developed our own tech solutions and tools (such as customized HCW-hosted campaign microsites with blogs and mail lists) that can cut down costs considerably.

We do all kinds of work around branding, promoting, messaging, creative production and outreach. In addition, we have done workshops that are designed to build capacity within an organization where we can offer various levels of ongoing support as needed. For campaigns, our creative approach typically includes a community-building process such as using real people in photo and video shoots.

The first order of business when taking on a new project is to meet with the client to ensure we have a solid understanding of the objectives and constraints, not just for the launch but over the entire life of a campaign and organization. From here, we propose a solution that takes all these factors into account, putting forth a minimum budget estimate and showing where value can be gained with additional investment.

Then we create a Statement of Work that sets out the objectives, scope, deliverables, timeline and budget. This often turns into the formal contract and work begins!
