Celebrate Arts & Health Month

01 November 2016

This annual worldwide event promotes the integration of the arts into a wide variety of healthcare and community settings.

Hello Cool World proud to partner with Arts Health Network Canada and Arts Health BC!

As you may be aware, November is Arts & Health Month across Canada and around the world. Arts Health Network Canada has participated in this event for the past few years. Last year we launched our mini documentary on Arts & Health just in time to celebrate this event. Every year, November is Arts & Health Month, an opportunity for organizations and individuals worldwide to promote the integration of the arts – including literary, performing, and visual arts and design – into a wide variety of healthcare and community settings for therapeutic, educational, and expressive purposes.

"So much of what we do at Hello Cool World includes using the arts to promote health. We are in the midst of expanding our work in this area with new short films and transmedia projects like the work we've done for  BCCDC around the use of Naloxone to prevent opioid overdose deaths." ~ Kat Dodds

We truly believe that the arts have the power to benefit communities by engaging people in programs aimed at prevention and wellness; to create safer, more supportive healthcare environments; and to offer caregivers an opportunity for creativity and self-expression.

Our hope is that together we can raise awareness of Arts and Health from coast to coast.

We look forward to celebrating with you the positive impact that the arts have on health.
